MF 5M.145 Collector Model

Universal Hobbies Releases Detailed 1:32 Scale MF 5M.145 Collector Model

Universal Hobbies has added a new tractor to its 1:32 scale collector range with the release of the Massey Ferguson 5M.145. The French model manufacturer continues to focus on licensed replicas of real machines, combining display quality with functional details for collectors.

The 5M.145 is the top model of Massey Ferguson’s simpler, work focused 5M tractor series, rated at 145 horsepower. In scale form, Universal Hobbies translates this practical design into a clean, realistic miniature.

Design and Exterior Details of the Universal Hobbies Model

The model features the narrow hood and slim, swept back headlight design that defines the real 5M tractors. The front axle is steerable and fitted with large front tires, which slightly limit steering angle, just like on the full size machine.

Universal Hobbies equips the front not with a three point linkage, but with a mounting rail. A suitcase weight is included and can be slid onto the rail, allowing collectors to display the tractor in different working configurations.

Cab, Roof Equipment, and Fine Scale Features

The access steps now use black treads, while the light colored cab includes a detailed interior. On the roof, the GPS unit and antenna are positioned further back. Beacon lights and telemetry fins remain part of the design.

The mirrors are foldable and molded as a single piece. Above the panoramic front windshield, Universal Hobbies adds a protective grille, reflecting real world safety equipment.

Rear Hitch and Display Flexibility

At the rear, the model uses a combined collector and system coupling with a length adjustable top link. A drawbar pin is included, and wheel weights are fitted inside the rear wheels. These details make the model adaptable for different display setups.

Removable FL 4220 Front Loader Designed by Universal Hobbies

A key highlight of this release is the front loader. Universal Hobbies models the Massey Ferguson FL 4220 loader, inspired by the design logic of modern quick attach systems.

Collectors can remove the loader. To detach it, one small screw on each side of the console is loosened. The hydraulic hose coupler can also be separated easily. Hooks and pin mounts are realistically reproduced, and fold down parking stands support the detached loader.

The loader arm includes hydraulic self leveling. A silage bucket with hydraulic grab is permanently mounted, giving the model a working appearance.

A Collector Model Built Around Function and Detail

With this MF 5M.145, Universal Hobbies continues its approach of blending visual accuracy with practical model functions. The removable loader, steerable axle, working couplings, and fine cab details make it suitable both for static display and for collectors who enjoy interactive features.
