Massey Ferguson is set to unveil the 5S series equipped with the Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission (CVT) at LAMMA 2026. For the first time, the brand brings its renowned seamless CVT tech to the 105–145 hp 5S tractors — previously reserved for larger models. The new CVT configuration provides one continuous range with user-selectable virtual speeds from 0 to 40 km/h, offering both pedal and joystick control for maximum flexibility. Operators enjoy smooth acceleration, programmable start-off and cruise speeds in both directions, a parklock function for secure yard use, and 40 km/h travel at just 1,550 rpm for improved fuel efficiency.
Hydraulics Performance and Lifting Capacity Tailored for Livestock and Specialty Crop Work
All 5S Dyna-VT tractors retain the proven 6,000 kg rear lift capacity and 110 L/min load-sensing hydraulics — features well-suited for loader work, vegetable harvesters, and other demanding implements. Hydraulic oil volume remains 41 L, supporting robust external equipment. Valve control depends on trim level: models in Efficient trim use a Multipad micro-joystick for valves one and two, with mechanically operated valves three and four; Exclusive trim models offer full electronic fingertip control. Maintenance intervals stay unchanged at 600 hours for the engine and 2,400 hours for transmission oil, ensuring predictable servicing and operating costs.
Trim Levels and First Deliveries Scheduled Mid-2026
The Dyna-VT CVT option will be offered only on mid-range Efficient and top-tier Exclusive 5S models. Entry-level Essential trim tractors will continue with the traditional Dyna-4 or Dyna-6 powershift transmissions. LAMMA 2026 visitors will have the opportunity to see and test the new machines in person ahead of first customer deliveries planned for June 2026.
