At Agritechnica 2025, Tadus unveiled one of the most advanced and powerful electric tractors ever built — the Tadus T16.20, a fully electric machine developed from the ground up to deliver real-world performance, long runtime, and near-zero maintenance.
Designed and manufactured in Germany, the T16.20 combines up to 120 kW (160 hp) of output with an intelligent multi-motor drive system and a swappable battery pack, achieving both exceptional efficiency and minimal operating costs. Pre-series production is scheduled to begin in 2026.
Electric Powertrain Engineered for Continuous Operation
At the heart of the T16.20 lies Tadus’ proprietary electric drive architecture. Instead of a single central motor, the tractor employs multiple independent electric motors that distribute energy precisely to where it’s needed — front and rear axles, PTOs, and hydraulic systems.
A central Control Unit intelligently manages energy flow based on demand and operator settings, allowing for smooth, stepless speed control from −20 to +40 km/h and fully variable PTO output. The absence of mechanical coupling between components not only improves efficiency but also dramatically reduces wear and service downtime.
High-Capacity Battery and Quick-Swap System for Maximum Uptime
The T16.20 is powered by a 180–200 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering between 5 to 10 hours of practical field operation. Thanks to its battery-swap system, a fully charged pack can be replaced in under five minutes, even when front or rear implements are attached.
This setup enables true continuous work cycles — while one pack powers the tractor, the second recharges on standby. With bidirectional AC/DC charging (22 kW AC and 120 kW DC), the T16.20 also supports energy feedback into the grid, opening possibilities for smart-farm energy management.
Precision Hydraulics and Robust Design
The e-Load-Sensing hydraulic system delivers a flow rate of 75 l/min (optional 100 l/min), supporting front loaders, mowers, and municipal attachments. Standard tire setup is 480/65 R24 front and 540/65 R34 rear, with optional larger sizes for hill or grassland work.
Cab design focuses on ergonomics, visibility, and operator comfort, while optional equipment such as front linkage, front PTO, loader, and air-conditioning extends versatility across agricultural and municipal applications.

Tadus positions the T16.20 as a universal electric workhorse capable of handling:
