STEYR has presented the new 6280 Absolut CVT — a high-performance tractor designed for the most demanding fieldwork. This flagship model of the Absolut series is also among the nominees for the prestigious Farm Machine awards, which highlight the most advanced agricultural technologies of the year.
Under the hood, the 6280 Absolut CVT is equipped with a 6.7-liter six-cylinder FPT engine delivering up to 302 horsepower. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) ensures smooth acceleration and efficient power transfer, allowing the tractor to perform equally well in transport, tillage, and heavy draft operations.
The hydraulic system provides a maximum flow of 220 liters per minute, while the rear linkage lift capacity reaches 11 tons — an impressive figure that makes it suitable for large implements and high-load applications. The total permissible weight is 16.8 tons, ensuring excellent stability and traction even under challenging conditions.
Comfort and safety are supported by the S-COMFORT system, which integrates front-axle suspension, cab suspension, and rear-linkage damping. The S-BRAKE trailer stabilization system enhances control during braking with heavy loads.
The 6280 Absolut CVT also embraces precision farming with RTK+ guidance accuracy up to 1.5 centimeters and integrated telemetry under the Connectivity Included concept. The cab offers panoramic visibility, intuitive controls, and ergonomic design for long working hours in the field.
