Solis YM 235

Pune Kisan Mela 2025 Opens With Strong Farmer Interest in Solis YM 235 Launch

Pune Kisan Mela 2025 officially opened on December 10 at the PIECC Ground in Moshi, Pimpri Chinchwad, bringing together farmers, agri professionals, and agricultural machinery manufacturers from across India. Running through December 14, the four day exhibition has once again positioned itself as one of the country’s most influential platforms for new farm equipment launches.

Among the key product debuts at this year’s event, Solis Yanmar attracted significant attention with the launch of its new Solis YM 235 4WD tractor. The model was presented as a practical and cost conscious solution aimed at small landholders and specialty crop growers.

The Solis YM 235 is powered by a 3 cylinder 35 HP engine producing 108 Nm of torque. It features an 8 forward and 8 reverse gearbox, constant mesh transmission with synchromesh shuttle, dual PTO speeds of 540 and 540E, and 300 mm ground clearance. The addition of four wheel drive improves traction and stability, particularly in uneven terrain and horticulture fields where maneuverability and grip are critical.

According to Solis representatives at the event, the YM 235 has been developed for intercultural operations, orchard work, and light duty farming where fuel efficiency and reliability are prioritized over sheer horsepower.

Solis JP 975 Display Highlights High Power Technology for Large Farms

Alongside the YM 235 launch, Solis Yanmar showcased its flagship Solis JP 975 tractor, a model already gaining traction among farmers operating larger acreages. The JP 975 is equipped with a JP Tech engine delivering between 48 and 50 HP and up to 205 Nm of torque, targeting demanding tillage and multi season applications.

The tractor offers a 15 forward and 5 reverse advanced sync shift transmission, a 2000 kg hydraulic lifting capacity, and an ADDC hydraulic system. Its DEXA PTO system provides 11 PTO speed options, allowing precise matching of power to implements while reducing fuel consumption.

Comfort and operator convenience are addressed through power steering, an adjustable seat, oil immersed brakes, LED lighting, and a digital instrument cluster. These features position the JP 975 as a productivity focused solution for farmers seeking higher output with lower operating stress.

Balanced Product Strategy Drives Strong Response at Pune Kisan Mela 2025

Solis Yanmar’s dual focus on small and large scale farming requirements helped make its stand one of the most visited areas at the exhibition. The YM 235 addressed the need for affordable mechanization among small farmers, while the JP 975 demonstrated how modern tractor technology can improve efficiency in intensive farming operations.

The strong turnout around both models reflected growing interest in tractors that combine practical engineering with measurable operating benefits, rather than purely incremental power increases.
