New Holland W170D Forage Power

New Holland W170D+ Forage Power Enters Competition for Best Agricultural Machine

New Holland has unveiled the W170D+ Forage Power, a specialized wheel loader designed for intensive silage work. The machine has also been nominated in the Farm Machine Awards, recognizing innovations in agricultural equipment across Europe.

Powered by a 255 hp engine, the W170D+ delivers around 1,300 Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission with torque-converter lock-up starting from first gear. With an operating weight of approximately 16.4 tons and a 350-liter fuel tank, it is built for endurance and performance during long working shifts.

Its long wheelbase and rear-mounted engine contribute to better weight distribution and stability, while the 4.54-meter bucket pivot height allows efficient loading of high silage clamps and trailers. The advanced “Cooling Cube” system with a reversible fan ensures optimal airflow and automatic dust cleaning — a critical advantage in silage environments.

Operator comfort and visibility are enhanced by a panoramic windshield, full-LED lighting, and a 178-degree rear-view camera that supports precise maneuvering.
