New Holland Agriculture has expanded its high-performance T7 Heavy Duty (HD) tractor lineup in Australia and New Zealand with the launch of a 3-metre centre configuration, engineered specifically for Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF).
This update meets growing demand from broadacre, cotton, and horticulture growers operating on fixed tramline systems — providing alignment with existing field setups without sacrificing horsepower, comfort, or precision technology.
Meeting the needs of strict CTF operators
The new 3-metre centre option was designed in response to feedback from growers and dealers in regions where soil structure management is critical.
Cameron Jordan, Dealer Principal at McIntosh & Son Dalby, explained:
“The soil structure across large parts of our operating area means adherence to CTF practices is often very strict, and almost all of our broadacre customers are operating on dedicated 3-metre centres. This new offering from New Holland gives them the ability to stay within their CTF systems while stepping into the performance and reliability of the T7 HD range.”
With full factory warranty coverage, dealers across Australia and New Zealand are now offering the T7 HD CTF-spec tractors — giving operators more flexibility and greater configuration choice.
How the 3-metre option boosts efficiency and soil health
Controlled Traffic Farming confines heavy machinery to permanent wheel tracks, reducing soil compaction, improving infiltration, and promoting higher long-term yields.
The 3-metre T7 HD configuration lets growers maintain these agronomic benefits while leveraging the full mechanical and digital capability of New Holland’s most advanced tractor series.
T7 HD Range — Power, Precision and Operator Comfort
The T7 HD series delivers up to 340 horsepower, powered by the FPT Industrial NEF 6.7 L engine with HI-eSCR2 Stage V emissions technology.
The Auto Command™ CVT transmission ensures smooth, fuel-efficient power delivery across a wide working range, while the PLM Intelligence™ architecture provides real-time machine data exchange, remote diagnostics, and integration with New Holland’s FieldOps™ platform.
Inside, operators benefit from the Horizon™ Ultra cab, one of the quietest in the segment at just 66 dB(A). Comfort and visibility are enhanced by panoramic glazing, ergonomically arranged SideWinder™ Ultra controls, and the IntelliView™ 12-inch touchscreen monitor — the nerve center for guidance, section control, and machine performance management.
Routine maintenance is streamlined through industry-leading 750-hour service intervals, reducing downtime and total cost of ownership — a feature particularly valued by large contractors and high-hour operations.
A smart fit for broadacre and mixed-farming operations
The T7 HD’s balance of high power, hydraulic capacity (up to 220 L/min), and precision control makes it well-suited for intensive tillage, seeding, spraying, and transport duties within strict CTF frameworks.
By adding the 3-metre configuration, New Holland effectively extends the range’s compatibility with Australian and New Zealand broadacre practices — strengthening its position in one of the world’s most advanced mechanized farming markets.
