Mechan International Takes Majority Stake in Italian AGCO Dealer Agri Ravagnolo

Mechan International, one of Europe’s largest distributor groups for AGCO brands, has acquired a majority stake in Agri Ravagnolo Srl, a long-established Italian agricultural machinery dealer specializing in Fendt and Massey Ferguson equipment.

The transaction marks a significant consolidation move in the Italian dealership market, bringing one of the country’s top AGCO partners into a multinational group already operating across Belgium, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Canada.

Agri Ravagnolo strengthens its position in Fendt and Massey Ferguson sales and support

Founded more than 40 years ago as a family business, Agri Ravagnolo has grown into one of the most important AGCO dealers in Italy. The company operates four branches in northeastern Italy and employs over 50 specialized staff, covering machinery sales, service, spare parts, and field support.

Its portfolio is centered on:

  • Fendt and Massey Ferguson tractors.
  • Precision agriculture systems based on PTx Trimble technology.
  • Solutions for vineyard mechanization.
  • On-site and workshop technical service.
  • AGCO Finance equipment financing programs.

According to both parties, these operational strengths were a key factor behind Mechan International’s decision to invest.

Family ownership and management remain in place after the deal

Despite the change in ownership structure, Agri Ravagnolo will continue to operate under its existing management.

The current shareholders remain involved, daily operations stay unchanged, and all employees retain their positions. The goal is continuity for customers while gaining access to a broader international organization, shared expertise, and additional investment capacity.

Eros Ravagnolo, CEO of Agri Ravagnolo, said the partnership will accelerate development in technology, service quality, and innovation while preserving the company’s local identity and long-standing customer relationships.

AGCO dealer consolidation builds a 100 million euro network in Northern Italy

With Agri Ravagnolo joining other Mechan International partners such as Agri-Verde and Busato, a coordinated AGCO dealer network is taking shape across Northern Italy.

Together, these companies generated more than 100 million euros in revenue in 2025.

Operating in neighboring regions allows:

  • Shared technical expertise.
  • Standardized service processes.
  • Faster parts logistics.
  • Better coverage for large fleets and precision farming projects.
  • More consistent customer experience across territories.

Mechan International CEO Ronald Slaats described the Italian market as highly professional and innovation-driven, adding that the group intends to combine local dealer strength with modern organizational scale.
