October 2025 – Massey Ferguson has officially launched the new MF 1M compact tractor range, a successor to the MF 1500 series. With improved power, modern design, and enhanced comfort, the MF 1M series is engineered for professionals in groundcare, municipal services, and equine sectors who demand reliable performance in daily operations.
MF 1M Compact Tractors with More Power and Practical Features
The MF 1M lineup introduces two models — the 20 hp MF 1M.20 and the 25 hp MF 1M.25 — both powered by efficient three-cylinder engines. These machines deliver more torque at lower revs, ensuring fuel efficiency and quiet operation.
Styling follows the design language of the larger MF 8S tractors, giving the compact range a modern and professional appearance.
The MF 1M.25 offers a hydrostatic transmission for smooth speed control, while the MF 1M.20 is fitted with a 9F/9R mechanical gearbox, providing flexibility and simplicity for operators.
Operator Comfort and Cab Options
For operators requiring all-day comfort, the MF 1M.25 can be fitted with a factory-installed cab featuring:
- Air conditioning and heating.
- Large glass surfaces for 360° visibility.
- Front and rear LED work lights.
- USB and 12V outlets.
- Rear wiper and electric demister.
A hydraulic joystick and adjustable steering wheel further improve operator ergonomics and attachment handling.
Hydraulics and Implement Handling
The MF 1M.25 delivers a rear lift capacity of 900 kg, while the MF 1M.20 starts at 650 kg with an optional 900 kg upgrade. Hydraulic flow reaches 20.9 l/min for implements, with a separate pump for power steering.
Optional mid-mounted spool valves and joystick controls make the MF 1M tractors versatile for loaders and other attachments.
PTO and Cutting Deck Options
The MF 1M.25 comes standard with a two-speed rear PTO (540/750 rpm) and an optional 540E economy mode, while the MF 1M.20 provides a single-speed 540 rpm PTO. A mid-PTO is standard on the MF 1M.25 and optional on the MF 1M.20.
External PTO switches mounted on the rear fenders enhance safety and convenience.
For groundcare professionals, new drive-over cutter decks are available in 54-inch and 60-inch widths, with side or rear discharge and mulching capabilities. Cutting height can be easily adjusted with a lever system.
