Kubota M7 174 Special Edition

Kubota Presents the M7-174 Premium KVT Special Edition at Agritechnica 2025

Kubota used Agritechnica 2025 to showcase one of its most distinctive releases of the season: the M7-174 Premium KVT Special Edition, a commemorative model celebrating the company’s 50 years in Europe. The tractor pairs the technical foundation of the M7-4 platform with a unique exterior design, giving the familiar 170 hp class machine a more exclusive positioning for professional operators.

Exclusive Styling Developed for the 50th Anniversary

The Special Edition adopts a custom exterior treatment that clearly separates it from standard M7-4 tractors. A darker livery, premium detailing, and the signature orange stripes across the front end highlight its connection to Kubota’s heritage. The concept emphasizes identity and craftsmanship rather than cosmetic add-ons, targeting users who value individuality in a high-horsepower utility tractor segment.

Engine, Power Delivery and PTO Performance

Under the commemorative styling, the tractor retains the mechanical foundation of the M7-174 Premium KVT.
It is powered by the Kubota V6108 four-cylinder diesel engine, rated at 168 hp with an additional 5 hp PTO boost available for demanding PTO applications.
The engine operates at a rated speed of 2100 rpm and uses a combination of DPF and SCR aftertreatment to meet Tier 4 Final emissions compliance.

The power curve is tuned for agricultural operations, delivering maximum output around 1900 rpm to support fuel efficiency during PTO and towing work. The tractor is equipped with a large 87 gallon (330 L) fuel tank and 10 gallon (38 L) DEF tank, ensuring long intervals between refueling during field and transport operations.

Kubota Variable Transmission and Operating Capabilities

The Premium KVT configuration provides a continuously variable transmission enabling infinite forward and reverse speeds, supporting precise speed selection for loader work, baling, hay operations, and mixed field tasks.

The KVT model also integrates Active Stop, allowing the tractor to hold position on slopes without brake application. Operators can fine tune shuttle modulation, hydraulic behavior, and transmission sensitivity directly through the K Monitor interface.

Hydraulics and Implement Management

The M7-174 Premium KVT Special Edition is equipped with a closed center load sensing hydraulic system delivering 29 gpm (110 L/min) of flow.
Premium models use electronic rear remotes, offering up to five valves with variable flow control and hydraulic valve swap functionality. Full ISOBUS compatibility is supported via the optional 12 inch K Monitor terminal.

The tractor supports a four speed PTO (540/540E/1000/1000E) and includes external PTO engagement buttons on the rear fenders. A Category 3/3N 3 point hitch provides a lift capacity of up to 20,723 lb (9,400 kg) at the lift ends.

Cab, Suspension and Operator Environment

The Premium grade cab configuration includes automatic HVAC, an air ride operator seat, front axle suspension, and optional pneumatic cab suspension for maximum comfort.
An updated ergonomic layout, redesigned console, multifunction lever, and modern steering wheel reduce operator fatigue during long working days. LED work lights and heated mirrors are available depending on specification.

Loader Compatibility and Front End Productivity

The tractor is compatible with the Kubota LM2606 front loader, offering a maximum lift height of 167 inches and a lift capacity of 5,776 lb at the pivot pin.
The loader system includes mechanical or electronic joystick control, a mechanical or hydraulic Euro attachment lock, Kubota Shockless Ride, and single lever hydraulic quick couplers to streamline implement changes.
