September 30, 2025 – Kubota has introduced the Grand L70 Series, the latest generation of its flagship compact tractors, combining operator-focused design, new technology, and versatile power options. Aimed at both residential and commercial users, the series includes three configurations — deluxe, premium, and cold weather — and integrates Kubota’s new iHST transmission system and the all-new ProCab operator station.
Advanced Hydrostatic Transmission With Custom Drive Modes
The Intelligent Hydrostatic Transmission (iHST) is the centerpiece of the Grand L70 Series. Kubota’s three-range system adds hydro-dual speed, offering six total travel ranges, while operators can switch between pre-programmed drive modes for loader work, snow removal, road transport, and field operations.
Pedal sensitivity, auto-throttle advance, and digital stall guard functions make it easier to match engine response to the task at hand.

Operator Comfort With Kubota ProCab
Kubota’s new ProCab four-post cab with rounded glass improves sightlines and visibility.
Features include:
- Remote start capability.
- Heated glass, rear wiper, and side/rear defrosters.
- Climate-controlled airflow.
- Heated swivel seat options.
- Quiet operation for long workdays.
The ProCab is available on premium and deluxe models, while open-station ROPS remains an option.
Connectivity and Digital Control
The K-Command display is a vibrant color screen with Bluetooth connectivity, hands-free calling, jog-dial navigation, and access to performance data. Operators can configure transmission settings, monitor fuel and PTO load, and manage up to nine joystick functions, including cruise control and drive mode selection.
Engine Options and Power Range
The Grand L70 lineup offers multiple engine configurations tailored to operator needs.
| Model Option | Engine Type | Cylinders | Horsepower Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deluxe | Naturally aspirated diesel | 3-cyl | 37–60 hp | Open or ProCab available |
| Premium | Turbocharged diesel | 4-cyl | 37–60 hp | More power under load |
| Cold Weather | CRS diesel (electronic fuel injection) | 3- or 4-cyl | 37–60 hp | Enhanced cold-start features |
All engines use Kubota’s Common-Rail System (CRS) with electronically controlled fuel injection for smooth, efficient power delivery.
Loader and Backhoe Attachments
The Grand L70 can be paired with three performance-matched loaders (LA806, LA1056, LM1056) and the BH92A backhoe.
Highlights include:
- Loader lift capacity up to 3,029 lbs.
- Backhoe digging depth of 9 ft.
- Quick-attach and detach systems for faster workflow.
An optional self-leveling loader further increases efficiency for stacking and material handling.
Built for Residential and Commercial Operators
From small ranches to municipal work, the Grand L70 is designed for versatility. Loader tasks, snow removal, brush clearing, and general field maintenance benefit from the customizable transmission settings and operator-focused cab environment.
