KIOTI Tractor has officially entered the growing mini excavator market with the launch of its new MX Series, introducing three models designed to compete in some of the industry’s most popular compact construction segments.
The new lineup includes the MX350, MX350AE extended arm version, and the larger MX570. All three machines arrive factory equipped with a comprehensive package of standard features that are often optional on competing models, allowing operators to put the machines to work immediately after delivery.
The launch represents another significant step in KIOTI’s expansion beyond agricultural equipment following the company’s recent entry into the skid steer and compact track loader segments.
Standard Equipment Package
Rather than offering numerous add on packages, KIOTI has chosen to standardize many of the features contractors use most frequently.
All MX Series excavators come equipped with:
- Mechanical quick coupler.
- Hydraulic thumb.
- Heavy duty angle blade.
- Auxiliary hydraulics.
- Two speed travel system.
- Suspension seat.
- Variable piston hydraulic pump.
According to KIOTI, the goal is to improve productivity while reducing ownership costs by eliminating the need for aftermarket upgrades.
The company also highlights smooth multi function hydraulic performance, reinforced structures, protected hydraulic components, and load holding valves designed to increase durability and long term reliability.
MX350 Targets Compact Job Sites
The MX350 serves as the entry point into the lineup and is designed for contractors working in confined environments where maneuverability is critical.
Powered by a 21.5 hp Yanmar 3TNV88F naturally aspirated diesel engine, the machine weighs approximately 3,860 kg (8,510 lbs) and features a true zero tail swing design that allows operators to work close to structures, fences, and utilities.
Key MX350 specs:
- 21.5 hp Yanmar 3TNV88F diesel engine.
- Operating weight: 3,860 kg (8,510 lbs).
- Hydraulic flow: 99 l/min (26.2 gpm).
- Hydraulic pressure: 180 bar (2,611 psi).
- Width: 1.7 m (68.4 in).
- Fuel capacity: 55 litres (14.5 gal).
The MX350 is aimed at landscaping companies, municipalities, utility contractors, and property maintenance professionals seeking a compact but capable excavator.
MX350AE Adds Extra Reach
The MX350AE builds on the MX350 platform but incorporates an extended arm configuration that provides greater digging reach and improved flexibility on excavation projects.
The machine retains the same Yanmar 3TNV88F powerplant and hydraulic system while increasing operating weight to approximately 4,130 kg (9,105 lbs).
Key MX350AE specs:
- 21.5 hp Yanmar 3TNV88F diesel engine.
- Extended arm design for greater reach and digging depth.
- Operating weight: 4,130 kg (9,105 lbs).
- Hydraulic flow: 99 l/min (26.2 gpm).
- Width: 1.7 m (68.4 in).
- Fuel capacity: 55 litres (14.5 gal).
For contractors who regularly require additional reach but do not want to move into a larger excavator class, the MX350AE could become an attractive option.
MX570 Expands Capability
The largest model in the new lineup is the MX570, a 5.7 tonne excavator designed for more demanding construction, utility, and earthmoving applications.
Power comes from a turbocharged Yanmar 4TNV86CT diesel engine producing 34.5 hp. Operating weight reaches approximately 5,830 kg (13,076 lbs), while hydraulic output increases significantly compared to the MX350 models.
Key MX570 specs:
- 34.5 hp turbocharged Yanmar 4TNV86CT diesel engine.
- Operating weight: 5,830 kg (13,076 lbs).
- Hydraulic flow: 149.4 l/min (40 gpm).
- Hydraulic pressure: 200 bar (2,901 psi).
- Width: 1.96 m (77.2 in).
- Fuel capacity: 55 litres (14.5 gal).
The MX570 utilizes a reduced tail swing design that improves maneuverability while maintaining stability and lifting performance. Its higher hydraulic output and increased operating weight position it for contractors tackling larger commercial projects and heavier excavation work.
Growing Presence In Construction Equipment
The introduction of the MX Series reflects KIOTI’s broader strategy of expanding its footprint in the construction equipment industry. Demand for compact excavators continues to grow globally as contractors increasingly seek machines capable of operating efficiently in restricted job sites while maintaining strong digging and lifting performance.
By offering a fully equipped machine as standard, KIOTI is attempting to differentiate itself in a market dominated by established brands and increasingly price conscious buyers.
The company believes this approach can help reduce downtime, simplify purchasing decisions, and provide stronger overall value for contractors and fleet owners.
