John Deere has announced a significant round of Model Year 2027 upgrades for its 8 Series tractor lineup, bringing new steering technology, expanded operator customization, and improved planter integration to one of the company’s most important high horsepower tractor platforms. The updates cover 8R, 8RT, and 8RX models ranging from 250 to 410 horsepower and continue John Deere’s push toward greater automation and precision agriculture capability.

Reactive Command Steering

Among the most notable additions is Reactive Command Steering, available on selected 8R models. The system automatically returns the steering wheel to center after a turn and allows operators to choose from three different steering feedback settings.

The MY2027 tractors continue to build on John Deere’s autonomy roadmap.

The machines are equipped with the 5G Plus display and support advanced precision agriculture technologies including:
