Brights Pioneer Museum Auction

Historic Bright’s Pioneer Museum Auction Brings 300 Classic Tractors to the Market

Collectors and vintage-tractor enthusiasts are gearing up for one of the most anticipated sales of the season — The Bright’s Pioneer Museum Auction in LeGrand, California. Conducted by Aumann Auctions, Inc., the event will liquidate an extraordinary private collection spanning more than half a century of agricultural history.

More than 300 tractors will cross the block, with a strong focus on crawler models from legendary brands such as Holt, Best, Caterpillar, Rumely, and Yuba. Among the crown jewels are a Best 75, 60, and 25, as well as a complete line of Holts, including the rare Holt Midget — a model seldom seen even in major collections.

Five-Day Online Event Runs October 28–31

The auction will take place online only, with different categories closing over several days:

  • Feature Tractors – October 28
  • Feature Vehicles – October 29
  • Project Crawlers & Tractors – October 30
  • Implements & Equipment – October 31
  • Longhorns & Cast Iron Seats – November 1

Bidding begins each evening at 6:00 p.m. Central, giving global collectors an equal chance to participate in the sale.

Open House and Collector Social Set for October 24–25

Before bidding begins, the museum will open its doors for a two-day viewing period on October 24 (9 a.m.–6 p.m.) and October 25 (9 a.m.–3 p.m.). A collector social will be held the evening of the 24th, offering food, drinks, and a chance to mingle with fellow enthusiasts before the sale begins.

Decades-Old Museum Unveils Hidden Treasures

Described by organizers as “a nearly forgotten 50- to 60-year-old museum ready to see daylight again,” the Bright’s Pioneer Museum is packed with mechanical gems. Beyond the rare Holt and Best models, the lineup includes Oil Pull F, Avery trucks, a Rolls-Royce, a Bentley, a near-complete line of Cletracs, and an impressive array of Caterpillar crawlers.

The collection even features a historic 1873 Aveling steam traction engine, making this event a once-in-a-generation opportunity for vintage-machinery collectors and restorers.

Pickup Dates and Location

Items will be available for pickup on November 6–9 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at:
