FendtONE Rolls Out Automatic GPS Line Creation, Workgroup Data Sharing & Obstacle-Aware Headland Updates

Automatic AB Lines via Coverage Guidance — No Predefined Wayline Needed

The latest update adds a new Coverage Guidance mode that allows the system to automatically generate an A–B guidance line by recording the operator’s first pass—no need to manually define A and B points or import field boundaries. This feature is designed for contractors and new users who often work in fields without recorded data.
Once the first pass is complete, the software analyzes the coverage and automatically creates subsequent parallel lines. Because it integrates with the Contour Assistant logic, Coverage Guidance adapts dynamically to the shape of the field and ensures efficient coverage even on irregular plots.

Real-Time Machine Collaboration: Workgroup Data Sharing

A major enhancement arriving in summer 2026 is Workgroup, a function that enables multiple machines working in the same field to share real-time data such as field boundaries, waylines, obstacle locations, and coverage maps.

This collaborative setup allows:

  • Drivers to see exactly where others have already worked.
  • Section control to automatically shut off or reopen sections based on shared coverage.
  • New machines entering the field mid-operation to instantly synchronize with the ongoing job.

The system is especially valuable for high-precision operations such as fertilizer spreading or spraying, reducing overlap and optimizing field efficiency.

Headland Lines Around Obstacles

From November 2025, operators will be able to record headland lines around obstacles like trees, power poles, or ponds. The headland automation and section control systems will recognize these as boundaries and respond automatically.
Using the teach-in function, operators can manually record and mark obstacles for the system to consider in future operations, enabling smoother headland turns and consistent section behavior near obstacles.

Dual ISOBUS Implement Control

Another update will enable simultaneous control of two ISOBUS implements from a single FendtONE terminal. This will be especially useful for combined operations such as sowing and fertilizing in one pass, allowing both implements to be managed independently yet displayed on a unified interface.

Cross-Brand Field Data Converter and Editable Boundaries

In the off-board environment, FendtONE adds a new Field Data Converter that allows import and conversion of field boundaries and tramlines from other systems into compatible data formats. Users will also be able to modify existing field boundaries, for example, to adjust margins or divide a field into different crop zones.

Technical Considerations & Limitations

These new functions require updated FendtONE software and compatible terminals. RTK-level GNSS correction remains crucial for centimeter-accurate guidance and consistent results.
The automatic line generation system works best in medium-complexity field geometries; extreme irregular shapes may still require manual adjustment.
Machine-to-machine data sharing depends on stable connectivity. In areas with weak mobile coverage, local Wi-Fi synchronization ensures data can still be exchanged between machines.
Dual-implement control requires ISOBUS implements that support the AUX-N standard or equivalent for full compatibility.

About Brand in Brief: Fendt & FendtONE

Fendt is a German manufacturer of premium tractors, harvesters, and agricultural machinery, part of the AGCO group. Its FendtONE ecosystem merges onboard and offboard management into one interface, allowing seamless transitions between field operation and office planning. Regular over-the-air updates continuously expand the system’s capabilities in precision farming.
