Just a day before the opening of Agritechnica 2025, CLAAS unveiled two major tractor innovations that are already creating a stir among visitors in Hannover — the AXION 9 CMATIC and the ARION 6 CMATIC. The German manufacturer used its pre-show reveal to spotlight new power levels, refined drivetrains, and a completely reimagined cab design aimed at improving both efficiency and operator experience.
AXION 9 CMATIC – Built for Heavy Work and Long Hours
The new AXION 9 CMATIC series replaces the outgoing AXION 900 range with an all-new lineup of five wheeled models (9.330 to 9.450) and two half-track versions (9.360 TT and 9.450 TT). Power is delivered by the proven 8.7-liter FPT Cursor 9 engine, fine-tuned for improved cooling and fuel efficiency. The top-spec AXION 9.450 reaches around 445 hp, and CLAAS engineers have extended the service interval from 500 to 750 hours, a key move to reduce downtime and overall ownership costs.
To underline reliability, CLAAS now backs the model with an 8-year / 8,000-hour warranty, making it one of the most cost-effective tractors in its class for large-scale operations.
The ZF CMATIC stepless transmission remains central to the drivetrain but now features CLAAS’s own control software for smoother shifting and improved torque response. Noise insulation has also been upgraded, reducing in-cab sound to just 66 dB(A).
Hydraulic capacity has been increased too — dual pumps now produce 370 L/min total flow, ensuring full performance even under high implement loads.
Inside, the brand-new K09 cab is longer, wider, and quieter than before. It features a redesigned air-conditioning system that cools the interior up to 6 °C faster, improved seat rotation, and expanded storage. The updated Cmotion controller is now paired with an ElectroPilot joystick offering 38 programmable functions. Key information is shown on a new A-pillar display, while a central touchscreen provides quick access to lighting, climate, and entertainment settings.
The AXION 9 CMATIC comes standard with integrated auto-steer and automatic headland turn sequences, and it’s already built for Level 2 semi-autonomous operation via an AgXeed-derived platform, allowing pre-planned tasks with driver supervision.

ARION 6 CMATIC – Efficiency and Versatility for Everyday Work
Alongside the heavy-duty AXION, CLAAS introduced the ARION 6 CMATIC, positioned for mid-sized farms that demand flexibility without compromising performance. The ARION 6.190 CMATIC is powered by a 6.8-liter six-cylinder engine producing up to 205 hp while meeting Stage V emission standards. The CMATIC transmission provides stepless speed control, making it ideal for field, transport, and loader work.
The tractor’s balanced weight, fuel-efficient common-rail injection system, and variable-geometry turbocharger ensure smooth power delivery under all conditions. Designed with everyday operators in mind, the ARION 6 CMATIC combines premium cab comfort with compact versatility — a perfect fit for mixed and livestock farming.

Availability
With Agritechnica 2025 now officially underway, both new CLAAS tractors are on display for the first time. Full production is scheduled to ramp up early next year, with first deliveries expected from spring 2026. Together, the AXION 9 CMATIC and ARION 6 CMATIC signal a new generation of CLAAS tractors — more powerful, more connected, and more operator-focused than ever before.
