Carraro T100 CVT transaxle

Carraro to Showcase 20.25SI Fully-Independent Axle at Agritechnica 2025

Italian drivetrain specialist Carraro Driveline & Motores Industriali S.p.A. will present its latest 20.25SI axle — featuring a fully-independent suspension system on the Lintrac 160 LDrive tractor at the upcoming Agritechnica 2025 (November 9-15, Hannover, Germany).
The axle is billed as delivering “precise and intuitive” vehicle control, improving dynamic responsiveness and providing smoother reaction and ride under challenging terrain.

Integration into the Lintrac 160 LDrive and Product Context

The Lintrac 160 LDrive, developed by Austrian OEM Lindner Traktoren GmbH and powered by FPT Industrial engines, will carry this new Carraro axle, positioning it as one of the most capable tractors in its class.
From available technical documentation, Carraro’s independent-suspension axle systems include electronically-controlled position sensors and actuator elements, enabling improved ground contact, better handling and comfort.
Beyond the axle, Carraro is introducing its T100 CVT transaxle, targeted at roughly 100 hp machines, with three operating modes: hydrostatic (for low-speed precision traction), combined hydro-mechanical, and predominantly mechanical mode (for higher efficiency and performance).
It will also display its T135 transmission (EVOShift version) for utility tractors up to about 135 hp, featuring electro-hydraulic control and optional semi- or full-automatic electronic operation.

Why It Matters for Agricultural OEMs and Operations

The 20.25SI independent-suspension axle addresses increasing demands for smoother ride, better traction, and operator comfort in high-spec tractors.

Integration of such axles in modern tractors helps maintain stability and responsiveness when working at higher speeds or on irregular terrain.

The offering of the T100 CVT and T135 EVOShift further underlines Carraro’s strategy of delivering full driveline modules for utility and specialty tractors, enabling OEMs to offer broader gear-train options.

For fleet operators and service providers, the modularity and electronic integration (e.g., ECU control) common in Carraro’s new systems promise easier diagnostics and potentially reduced downtime.
