At Agritechnica 2025, Turkish manufacturer Başak Traktör presented the 5165, currently the most powerful model in its lineup. The company used the Hanover exhibition to highlight its progress in higher-horsepower segments and to signal its intentions to compete more aggressively in the 150 hp class.
Engine and Performance Highlights of the Başak 5165
According to publicly available technical information released by the company, the Başak 5165 is built around a 4.5 liter FPT Stage V engine producing 165 horsepower. The model uses a common rail injection system and electronic engine management designed to maintain consistent torque output under varying field loads.
Transmission, Hydraulics and PTO Functionality
The tractor is equipped with a powershift transmission offering a wide spread of working speeds suitable for tillage, transport and mixed farm operations. A rear three point hitch with high lift capacity and a standard 540 and 1000 rpm PTO configuration supports medium and heavy implements typically used in this segment.
Cabin, Operator Comfort and Chassis Design
Başak has placed visible emphasis on structural rigidity and operator comfort. The 5165 features a suspended front axle, an updated cab interior with ergonomic controls and a sound-insulated cabin intended to reduce operator fatigue during long working days.
