Bad Boy Mowers has confirmed plans to invest $10.5 million in a new tractor assembly facility in Monroeville, Alabama. The project will create approximately 50 jobs and repurpose the former Vanity Fair distribution center into a dedicated tractor production site.
According to local economic development officials, construction and facility upgrades are already underway, and a ribbon cutting ceremony has marked the formal launch of the project. The Monroeville plant will assemble multiple tractor models, with planned annual output estimated at around 9,000 units.
Former Distribution Center Converted Into Agricultural Equipment Production Site
The facility is located in a previously vacant logistics building, allowing Bad Boy to accelerate its production timeline while contributing to industrial reuse in the region. State and local officials described the project as a strong fit for Monroeville’s workforce and infrastructure, particularly for light manufacturing and assembly operations.
Alabama Department of Commerce representatives highlighted the expansion as further evidence of sustained investment in rural manufacturing, emphasizing workforce availability and community support as key factors behind the company’s location decision.
Expansion Supports Growing Tractor and Equipment Portfolio
The Monroeville project supports Bad Boy’s broader expansion beyond zero turn mowers into compact and utility tractors, UTVs, and outdoor power equipment. The company has continued to scale its supply chain and manufacturing footprint to meet growing retail demand, particularly through national dealer networks.
In 2025, Bad Boy was named Tractor Supply Co.’s top vendor, citing its contribution to product availability, pricing stability, and supply chain execution.
